Draymond Green Receives Honorable Mention for the StatSheet NCAA Player of the Week - February 20th, 2012

With a solid performances against two nationally ranked teams, Drew Gordon, a 6-9 senior from New Mexico, has earned the StatSheet NCAA Player of the Week. StatSheet's NCAA Freshman of the Week is Florida's Bradley Beal and StatSheet's NCAA 6th Man of the Week is C.J. Fair from Syracuse.

Gordon was the NCAA leader in rebounding (18.5 per game). He also put up an impressive 22 points per game, leading his team to wins against 13th ranked San Diego State and 11th ranked UNLV.

Gordon had 17 points and 17 rebounds in 35 minutes in a 77-67 upset win against San Diego State. He then led the team in scoring (27) and rebounding (20) in a huge 65-45 victory over UNLV.

This is the first time this season that Drew Gordon has been selected StatSheet NCAA Player of the Week. The runner-up this week is Marquette senior Jae Crowder. Honorable mention goes to our own Draymond Green.

StatSheet NCAA Freshman of the Week: Florida's Bradley Beal

Bradley Beal played an average of 37 minutes starting both games for the Gators. In a 61-52 victory against Alabama, Beal churned out 14 points and 8 rebounds. Against Arkansas, in a 98-68 shellacking, he had 2 blocked shots and 75% shooting.

This is the second time for Beal, who won the StatSheet NCAA Freshman of the Week award earlier this season. The runner-up is Trey Burke from Michigan. Honorable mention goes to TaShawn Thomas from Houston. The highest ranking freshman from Michigan State was Branden Dawson who finished 7th.

StatSheet NCAA 6th Man of the Week: Syracuse's C.J. Fair

Sophomore C.J. Fair averaged 36 minutes over two games for the Orange. In a narrow 52-51 win over Louisville, Fair led the Orange in scoring with 13 points shooting 41%. Then in a 74-64 win over Rutgers, he led all scoring and rebounding with 21 and 8.

Fair has won the StatSheet NCAA 6th Man of the Week award an amazing 3 times. Ian Miller, a sophomore guard from Florida State, is runner-up. Our own Derrick Nix wins honorable mention.
