Michigan State Gets 69-55 Win Over #15 Ranked Wisconsin

In East Lansing on February 16th the Spartans beat the Badgers, 69-55, in Big Ten action.

A couple items of note about these two teams: The Spartans are very hard to beat on their own court, but the Badgers were playing well and had won 4 out of 5. The Spartans have already seen the Badgers this year, and this win finishes a regular season sweep.

The game came down to a big separation in shooting and a somewhat smaller advantage in assists.

While the Spartans shot 52%, the Badgers could only manage 34% against their defense. Michigan State spread the ball around and dished out 13 assists compared to 10 for Wisconsin.

Draymond Green and Keith Appling were the leading scorers for the Spartans, each putting up 20 points. Green also contributed a game-leading 10 rebounds.
